About Dr. Sekhon
Dr. Sekhon believes in providing patients with all aspects of psychiatric care, and feels that therapy and medications can be equally important. He tailors each treatment plan to the specific needs of the individual and doesn't believe that illnesses can be treated in a "one size fits all" model.
Dr. Sekhon grew up in California, then attended UC San Diego for undergraduate school, completing his degree in Molecular Biology. He attended medical school at University of New England and completed his residency in Psychiatry at University Hospitals, Case Medical Center — where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed a fellowship in Sleep Medicine, deepening his understanding of how profoundly psychiatric illness and sleep problems overlap.
After completing his training, Dr. Sekhon returned to California and has been practicing psychiatry since 2009. He sees patients in-person in Walnut Creek and via telehealth throughout the Bay Area and California.
